Ha. Finally made time to take pictures of the nursery today. We’ve dedicated a small corner for our tiny babe in our room. I had ‘Autumn’ as the theme when I started shopping but didn’t really stick with it. But here’s a glimpse.
I’m getting really close (almost 39 weeks, yay!) and I cannot wait to hold her! :-D
Come on in!
My favorite bit.
Summery poppy flower baby blanket that I ordered from a small shop called Little Unicorn.
There was a pile of plastic flowers at home that I no longer liked. So I up-cycled them to create this baby mobile and I love what it turned into. :)
These drapes lock me in and let me out all at once. I defy laws of physics. I am in both places at the same time.
Painted an old coffee brown Ikea dresser to turquoise blue and distressed it. But no one seems to ‘get’ this whole distressed look though, they think it’s the result of a bad paint job. Ugh.
…and oh. I painted the white flowers on the black boxes too. Mirror and dream catcher’s from Urban Outfitters.
Leaves I had collected last fall that I put to use this year and how. And that penguin is all Murali. He had crudely doodled that Penguin on his iPad long back while watching a documentary on Emperor Penguins. So, I stole it and got it framed. Cool ha?
A small book shelf for her.
Well I really don’t know any good story to tell. Welp. So this is for me. Sort of.
Our families went slightly nuts shopping baby stuff. So, I had to dedicate an entire dresser.
My MIL, Murali’s grandmother and my sister knitted that coral frock for her. :) It’s precious!
